My clients choose to work with me because I don’t just do web design – I collaborate with them to ensure they get exactly what they need to succeed online. That includes content writing, marketing advice and even training, if they wish to manage the site on their own. I also know that they don’t always know what to ask for, so I make sure to give all-inclusive packages to ensure you get a functional, secure and optimized website that performs well for you, your customers and search engines.
I require a 50% nonrefundable deposit to get started. The remaining 50% will become due after the second round of revision, before your site is transferred to your domain OR 14 days after the submission of any revision if no changes are requested, whichever comes first.
Jamaican customers (paying in JMD) can make payment via bank deposit/transfer. Overseas customers (paying in USD) can make payment via PayPal. Account details will be provided on invoices.
Once you book my services (i.e sign contract and make your 50% deposit), we go through three phases of planning, design and review to get to a fully launched website. The entire process typically takes 8-12 weeks, not including a 30-day post-launch phase, which involves training and email support. If you book maintenance services, that will kick in after this phase is complete.
We’ll get started right away on planning your site and compiling content, however the start time for the actual design of your site is dependent on how long you believe you will need to get all your documents together, as well as my current booking schedule. I only do 1-2 websites per month, so occasionally I’m booked up to 3 months in advance.
Getting client feedback in a timely manner is critical to the design process. If feedback is delayed or material is not submitted by the deadlines we agree upon, before the design phase has started, your project will be postponed, and rescheduled once feedback/material is received. If feedback or material is not submitted within two weeks after submission of website for review, I will invoice for you the full remainder of the project fee, and send you the website files once paid.
If at some point, either of us decides our working relationship is failing, then we can submit the desire to cancel the project in writing. If more than 50% of the work has been completed, I will invoice you for the remaining amount of work done up to the point of cancellation. Once the payment has been made for the work completed, I will send you all the files that have been completed so far, so that you can continue to build on your website without having to start from scratch.
That’s a tough one. While most businesses and personal brands can benefit from a website, I only recommend getting one if you already have an established brand or proven business idea, and you feel confident that your website will pay for itself in increased income within the next 6-12 months.
